Being an iconic Melbourne wedding venue such as Vogue Ballroom has its true benefits as we see an abundance of beautiful couples tie the knot every week. When we first met Brigit and Jean we knew they had something truly special, their connection and love for each other was clear from the moment they first stepped into our venue. So, when it came to their big day it went without saying that all of Brigit and Jean’s guests were lucky enough to witness this couple uniting together in marriage, and be a part of the reception celebrations which turned out to be an unforgettable night.
Let’s Talk About Love – The Proposal
Jean proposed on a romantic ‘casual’ weekend with movies and a stay at Como in South Yarra. He made it out to seem like a nice mini getaway weekend with dinner and movies but little did I know he had much more planned up his sleeve.
The Engagement
We were engaged for two years before tying the knot.
The Ceremony
Our ceremony was held at St John Vianney’s Catholic Church.
Planning for the Big Day
Our wedding planning ran fairly smooth, sometimes it’s just the little things that you do last minute. From my experience always double and triple check your guest list even to the last minute.
The Wedding Venue
For the venue we wanted something elegant and modern which is why we chose Vogue Ballroom.
Styling the Venue
We wanted to use modern colours such as black and white to style the venue. We both wanted to incorporate black table cloths too and we found that this had overall worked really well as the colours were able to complement each other.
Getting Married at Vogue Ballroom
The whole venue looked absolutely spectacular it was beyond our expectations, our highlight was the entrance from the balcony.
One word to describe our Venue
In one word our guests have described Vogue Ballroom as AMAZING!
