Sara and John met at high school. When they finished year 12, they officially started dating. 8 years later, John proposed to Sara, while they were sitting on a park bench, the same one where John first asked Sara to be his girlfriend. Sara said yes, of course, and the rest is history.
When Sara and John first came to Vogue Ballroom, we listened to what they wanted on their wedding day. As a couple they were looking for a modern day gala wedding, and it’s fair to say that they got this and much more on their special day. On their wedding day, Sara looked like a princess, and John was truly her prince. On the night of their wedding, our venue truly radiated with love and it was clear that all of their guests were filled with joy and happiness for them. We know that Sara and John share a love which is eternal, and we know they will share a lifetime of happiness together.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was at St Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church in Malvern, a place where John’s parents were married and a lot of our families have had weddings & christenings there.

Unique Customs & Traditions
I converted to Greek Orthodox prior to the wedding in order for us to share the same religion.
We had a traditional Orthodox service, at the Reception we followed tradition with the cutting of the cake and Greek dancing.
Wedding Planning
Everything ran very smoothly, we gave ourselves just over a year to plan the wedding so we weren’t really rushed at all. Once we found our venue, everything seemed to click into place.
Styling the Venue
We went for a light purple and silver theme, we were guided by George and Angela, and the team at Vogue with how to the set up the room. We were extremely impressed with the final presentation, everything looked amazing down to the tiniest detail.
Highlights of the Venue
The service leading up to the day made us feel so at ease and we knew we were going to be looked after on the day. George and Angela, as well as the team at Vogue Ballroom are perfectionists and ensured we were treated like royalty on the day.
The unveiling as husband and wife was unforgettable and made us feel very special.
When first walking into the foyer I felt overwhelmed at how perfect and elegant everything was presented (it literally brought me to tears)
I absolutely loved all the chandeliers!
What’s one word that your guests used to describe Vogue Ballroom?
Beautiful, Elegant, Classy.
These words we heard over and over on the day from our family and friends.

The Honeymoon
We went to Los Angeles and Las Vegas for our honeymoon. We’ve always wanted to see Hollywood and all the places you see in the movies. It was our first big trip together and an absolutely amazing experience.
