When we first met Slavica and George at our Melbourne wedding venue, we were overwhelmed with their love and appreciation for each other. As a couple, they knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding day, which was to make it as elegant and memorable as possible. On the night of their wedding, Slavica and George walked into to our venue, which was flourishing with pink and white – their colour choice. All of their guests were commenting on how beautiful Slavica looked as a bride, and how much of a beautiful couple they both made.
Their Love Story
Slavica and George met 6 years ago at a shopping centre. Slavica says that, “I will never forget the moment we saw each other. It was like no one else was in the shopping centre except for us, he had caught my attention.”
At the time, George worked in a gift shop. After pacing around the shopping centre, Slavica went into his store to buy something for her relatives overseas as she was due to go on a holiday to Europe soom.
“We started talking and the rest was history, we have been together ever since,” Slavica said.
“George is truly a romantic and a special person. From planning special dinners to surprises. His proposal was completely from the heart and it meant more to me than anything else,” she said.
George proposed on the 12th Jan 2015, we were at Rye beach for the day. He acted very strange the whole day, and now I know why. It was a very emotional moment for both of us and we cried more than we could talk, and of course I said – Yes.
The Planning Process
The wedding planning process was easy for me as I already knew what I wanted and how I wanted my day to look like. I bought my dress within the first week of getting engaged and I did a lot of organising very early, so that way when it came closer to date I wouldn’t be stressed out about anything.
We were engaged a year before we tied the knot in St. Eustathios Greek Orthodox Church, South Melbourne.
The Finer Details
Our wedding day was one of the best days of our lives. I was very relaxed in the morning and whilst getting ready, but when I drove past the church and saw all of our friends and family standing there my heart started racing and the tears came shortly after that. My dad walking me down the aisle was the proudest moment and the most hardest moment of the day. Looking at George waiting for me on the other side felt like a dream and fairy tale. It was the best feeling ever, standing there next to my best friend and soul mate.
We took our photos at Parliament House, Fitzroy Gardens, Army of Barracks and Flinders Street. The weather was great and everything just fell into place and ran smoothly.
The Wedding Venue
Choosing Vogue Ballroom as our venue was an easy decision. It was just perfect for We can’t thank George and Angela enough for all the effort they put in to make our day a success. Anything that I requested or wanted was always a “yes.” The venue looked absolutely amazing and I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Styling of the Venue
Our theme was white and light pink as I wanted something soft and elegant.
Highlight of the Venue
We can’t say that there was one specific highlight of our night as the whole night was great, but if we had to choose it would be our first dance together and entering the reception as Mr and Mrs Kapsalis. Everything about the day was Magical.
We are travelling in to Europe in June. We are going to Venice, Rome, Amalfi Coast, Florence, Greek Islands – Santorini, Crete, and Dubai for 2 months.
