Fantastic school, wonderful teachers. Sending our daughter to the Arrowsmith Program was the best decision we ever made!
Love every aspect of this school from parish, community and supportive wonderful families and teachers. The children learn the best foundations for life.
Definitely the best school in Victoria, even for the most discerning parents. Children are safe and supported at all times in and around the yard. The level of education on offer is outstanding and school fees are more than reasonable. Principal Mr Mark Robertson is an excellent example of leading a school with the children in mind first and their education in line with it. Highly recommend.
The school and community have become an extension of our family home environment due to it's open, down to earth, and nurturing character. My child is excited to go to school every morning because she feels safe in such an environment and stimulated by the curriculum. For this reason i am pleased because my child hasn't seperated school from family nurture.
A wonderful school with much diversity. Excellent teachers and friendly students.
I loved the school it was the best experience I ever had n my life
I have participated in the Arrowsmith Program since 2017. I would describe this program at Oakleigh Grammar as phenomenal, and beneficial on so many levels. It’s truly been life-changing for me and without this program I don’t think I would be in the position I am today.
By this, I don’t just mean academically, but socially and emotionally. There have been several changes and benefits from this program that I can recognise in me. Too many to mention here. However, I will say my short-term memory is stronger, my mental math is better and I’m far more confident in social settings.
Importantly, my family, friends and Arrowsmith teachers also see these changes in me. I have to say that during these past 3 years I have felt as though the Arrowsmith classroom is my second home. Here, I have the opportunity to share my stories, my ups and downs with people who genuinely care, respect and understand me.
I don’t feel judged. This being my final year in the Arrowsmith Program, I want to thank my family, teacher and peers for everything they’ve provided me so that I could become a better Danica. This has been an important part of my life, but most importantly, my unforgettable, life-changing Arrowsmith journey.
Today, on the first day of Term 2 - I, like many other parents busily scurried towards the front gates to pick up my rascals - a Preppy and grade 3 at 3:25pm.
Today was a little bit more anxious as it was pouring rain, however I parked in my usual spot and walked calmly towards the school.
Pick up was uneventful, and normal and we made our way out of gate 2, as per usual cheerfully waving goodbye to Mr. Dickinson who is always so lovely and friendly! "See you tomorrow!" Smiles all around... you know, normal stuff.
Whilst I walked towards the car a block away from the school, holding two bags and two kids, my wallet and my umbrella trying to keep us covered from the downpour of Melbourne- we ended up at the car.
It was then that I realized that whilst I packed the bags into the boot - something was missing. My Wallet!!!
And. in it you would find - 1 iPhone, airpods, cash, my ID and all my cards. I started to panic - I very much set into a panic as you can imagine.
As I carefully reversed and drove back towards gate 2, there I saw Mr Dickinson - holding the wallet. What a relief !!!! What a wonderful sight!
I was so happy I actually hugged him with my gratitude.
He assured me that a year 8 student picked it up and handed it to him.
Firstly, I would like to extend my sincere THANK YOU to this wonderful child with great morals and Christian values.
I honestly commend this person for their honesty and doing the right thing in this situation. It just shows the Christian values that are evident in the school. And, I believe this shows the values collectively of all our kids in Oakleigh Grammar as a whole, and just how wonderful they are.
Please pass on my sincere gratitude to the student -I cannot thank you enough. You are to be praised for you doing the right thing, and you should be very proud. Also, their parents and teachers should be so very proud.
Best school by far! Well respected and friendly staff/teachers.
good, friendly stuff and positive environment. Could give more feedback on assignments.
